Marek Janowski receives German record critics' honorary award



PENTATONE proudly announces that one of its most rejoiced conductors Marek Janoswki receives the “2014 German Record Critics' -Honorary Award” from the Annual Committee of the German Record Critics' Award (PdSK). The association names three honorary award winners and the winner of the 2014 Nightingale Award. These awards are to honor music creators or producers for their lifetime achievements and special achievements, highlighting the Wagner cycle and the Bruckner cycle with PENTATONE. The committee praises the versatile conductor as ’an uncompromising fighter for quality’ and emphasizes the PENTATONE recordings.
 
ABOUT THE SCHALLPLATTENKRITIK HONORARY AWARD
The German “Schallplattenkritik” Honorary Award is one of the most highly acclaimed awards in the industry, presented by the German Record Critics' Award Association. The independent association consists of up to 145 music critics, writers, musicologists and editors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland actively involved in the assessment of CDs and DVDs. Its mission is to provide producers, composers, artists and music lovers an honest guide to new releases of true artistic significance.
