Opus Klassiek reviews J.S. Bach – Harpsichord Concertos

“The recording is a gem.”

“J.S. Bach – Harpsichord Concertos” performed by Francesco Corti with il pomo d’oro has been reviewed on Opus Klassiek! Read a glimpse of the review below!

” Francesco Corti and the ensemble play excellently; energetic, yet never frantic, the articulation of harpsichord and strings always remains intact. In the slow movements, expression never comes at the cost of sluggish playing (The Siciliano of BWV 1053 is a textbook example of that), proving that lyricism does not necessarily imply extremely slow tempi or an overly use of vibrato. […] The prospect of more recordings is nice, particularly thanks to Andrea Restelli’s beautiful replica harpsichords.”
