PENTATONE joins the global community in strongly condemning the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. As a company dedicated to the beauty, nourishment and meaning that music can supply, we cannot stay silent while a nation’s sovereignty is attacked by a belligerent neighbour, and we do not condone violence in any form.
We express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Our thoughts also go out to the Ukrainian and Russian artists we’ve worked with over the years, and we wish them and their loved ones strength and fortitude in these extremely challenging times.
We hope for a quick and peaceful resolution, and an end to the humanitarian crisis caused. There are a number of charities dedicated to providing support and relief to the affected people. PENTATONE is making a donation to the Dutch Giro 555 fund, and recommends that its listeners and partners look for a similar initiative in their respective territory.
