THE COMPANY
PENTATONE is an international classical music record label working with outstanding artists and releasing albums worldwide on CD, vinyl, and across all major digital platforms.
The label is known for its commitment to high-quality recordings and artistic excellence, collaborating with leading artists and orchestras from around the world. PENTATONE releases 4–6 albums per month.
Our office is located in Baarn, close to Amsterdam and Utrecht. We are a team of around 12 highly motivated colleagues with diverse backgrounds and expertise—dynamic, international, and always evolving. We offer a flexible hybrid working environment, combining remote work with 1–2 days per week in the office.
INTERNSHIP
This internship sits at the intersection of content and sync support, with a strong focus on how classical music is presented, positioned, and discovered.
Content Support
You will support the team in shaping PENTATONE’s digital presence:
- Assisting in creating and posting social media content (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Supporting content creation for newsletters, website, and online platforms
- Monitoring content performance and assisting in optimizing posts
- Researching trends and translating them into relevant classical music content
- Supporting visual storytelling and artist promotion
- Providing general support in archiving and organizing content and assets
Sync, Metadata & Catalog Support
You will contribute to the day-to-day work around sync and catalog organization:
- Supporting sync and licensing activities
- Maintaining and improving metadata quality, consistency, and tagging
- Assisting in building and updating sync-focused playlists and catalog overviews
- Identifying and categorizing tracks suitable for film, TV, advertising, and gaming
- Supporting music searches by helping find the right track for specific briefs or requests
- Assisting in organizing and maintaining an internal sync-ready music library
- Conducting research on potential partners, platforms, and opportunities
General & Operational Support
- Assisting with concert sales administration and related coordination tasks
- Supporting the team with ad hoc operational and organizational tasks
This role combines creative work with structured tasks, requiring attention to detail and a strong sensitivity to music.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A proactive, self-driven individual who takes initiative
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital culture
- Affinity with classical music (highly preferred)
- Ability to connect music with mood, visuals, and storytelling
- Interest in sync and music in media
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and writing skills in English
- Educational background in music, media, film, or related fields
- Basic Excel/metadata skills are a plus
- Basic design and/or video editing skills are a plus
Eligibility: Must be enrolled at a Dutch university (or European equivalent) and eligible to work in the Netherlands.
