Soprano Jeanine De Bique graces the cover of the latest issue of BBC Music Magazine, in a feature by Amanda Holloway exploring her journey from a small Anglican church in Trinidad to the world’s leading opera houses, her dazzling coloratura, and her mission to champion Caribbean music and heritage within the classical world.
“I want people to learn what the Caribbean community contributes to classical music,” De Bique tells the magazine.
The feature also touches on her latest PENTATONE release, Addio Amore, recorded with countertenor Terry Wey and the Kammerorchester Basel, as well as her upcoming projects, including a four-date residency at Bozar Brussels and the Echoes Across the Atlantic tour with Apollo’s Fire this November.
