We are delighted to share that Yulianna Avdeeva’s Metanoia has been named “Record of the Day” by ARTAMAG’, in a “Major Album” feature by Jean-Charles Hoffelé.
Hoffelé describes one of the most singular interpretations of Liszt’s Sonata, a journey that fascinates through the mastery of the work and “a keyboard where virtuosity is invisible.” He highlights the swift, fluid approach to the Sonata and the way the late pieces extend it, from the Csárdás macabre to the “almost-nothings” of Bagatelle sans tonalité and Nuages gris.
Metanoia was released on 28 August and was recorded in collaboration with the Tippet Rise Art Center in Montana.
