We are delighted to share that Yulianna Avdeeva’s Metanoia was featured on WDR 3 Hörstoff, the German radio programme on new classical albums, in a five-minute segment titled “From Virtuoso to Visionary: Franz Liszt.”
WDR 3 describes Liszt’s piano music as “like a flower meadow,” sometimes colourful and varied, sometimes shimmering, sometimes dry, barren and monochrome. On Metanoia, it says, Avdeeva shows Liszt’s entire development, from the radiant virtuoso to the austere hermit.
The segment was broadcast on 28 August, the day of the album’s release, and is available to listen to online until 28 August 2027.
Listen to the segment on the WDR 3 website.
