Thomas Adès’s The Exterminating Angel Symphony & Violin Concerto, performed by violinist Leila Josefowicz with the Minnesota Orchestra under Thomas Søndergård, has been named to the shortlist for the 2026 Gramophone Awards in the Contemporary category.
The PENTATONE release joins five other shortlisted recordings in the category, including Sean Shibe’s Vesper, also on PENTATONE. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 7.
