Russian piano star Denis Kozhukhin is PENTATONE's Artist of the Season January-June 2016.
His PENTATONE debut recording of Tchaikovsky and Grieg piano concertos with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and conductor Vassily Sinaisky is released in April 2016, however will be already exclusively available on PENTATONE in February.
Since winning the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 2010, Denis Kozhukhin has been steadily developing a very successful international concert career. He has already performed at many of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, both as a recitalist and as a soloist performing with orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and the Mariinksy Orchestra. De Volkskrant wrote about him "By his final encore, the audience was lying at the feet of Denis Kozhukhin… Kozhukhin has already shown that he belongs to the vanguard of pianists"
With the signing of an exclusive contract, PENTATONE welcomes Denis Kozhukhin amongst the realm of the young generation of top performers already present on its roster, such as violinist Arabella Steinbacher and cellist Johannes Moser. Believing in his incredible talent and undoubtful success, we celebrate this collaboration by coronating Denis our Artist of the Season and, during these months, we will reveal teasers about his life and this first release together.

Brahms est le révélateur que le piano de Kozhukhin cherchait : un frère en musique, des paysages et une respiration communs, mieux, une couleur, le bleu sombre d’un nuit de demi-lune qui
emplit tout cet album d’un mystère somptueux.
